Absolutely! Mars was used in a Space:1999 episode, and the score for The Undiscovered Country was heavily influenced by Mars as well. I think my first encounter with it was in a book, Stranger in a Strange Land.

I wrote a bit about the music of Star Trek in my zine (almost done with it) and have a more recent discovery that I am not adding but wanted to throw out there: I owned the soundtrack album for the TOS pilots (the Cage, Where No Man Has Gone Before) when it came out in the mid 80s

Iβve been putting together a Trek zine on my Patreon. Ultimately it will be themed around a specific character, but I have a 6 page autobio comic in it about seeing all of the movies in theaters.

Star Trek V, The Final Frontier scene. Collegial work associate Kirk and Spock are in an elevator, or a "turbolift" if you want to be fancy about it. Both are wearing outdoors stuff, Kirk in a leather coat over flannel all rugged like, and Spock is in a more normal but clearly future space blue jacket. Picture 1 has both standing facing the door for the elevator ride and Kirk is speaking. Closed caption reads, "I could really use a shower." Picture 2 shows Spock now looking at Kirk with a judging / appraising look on his face. The tension is palpable. Picture 3 shows Spock, still looking at Kirk, closed caption reads, "Yes."
