We've been delivering our Dr SAMS (Suicide Awareness in Medical Students) two-part training to medical schools and universities across England and Wales for the past five years, with the support of the British Medical Association.

We believe that all medical students should receive suicide prevention training as part of their core curriculum to look after themselves, their peers and their future patients. There should also be a statutory Duty of Care for them as well as all students, which currently does not exist.

The two-part training course encompasses our suicide awareness & prevention training Talking About Suicide: 10 Tools (TAS10) and the self-care guidance session Carespace (10 Techniques for Wellbeing) and can be delivered online or face-to-face.
