beatdown
09.02.2026 18:12 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Was the most important play of the 2025 season that backward pass 2-point conversion in the Week 16 Seahawks-Rams game?
This season was defined by those two teams, and makes a lot more sense when you think about it by focusing on that rivalry.
That looked like a run of the mill Week 12 beatdown. Patriots just didnβt look like a team that belonged on that stage, unfortunately for them.
09.02.2026 03:38 β π 21 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0Witherspoon now two sacks and a fumble forced. Heβs prob your MVP? So many deserving defenders
09.02.2026 03:01 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0If MVP doesnβt go to a defender, thatβs crazy
09.02.2026 02:59 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Walkerβs balling but Derrick Hall two sacks plus a huge fumble forced should be MVP, representing how Seattle won this game
09.02.2026 02:50 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 1 π 1Vrabel I got 9-8 on the squares at my party and youβre kicking that effing extra point you gotta be joking with this conservative nonsense
09.02.2026 02:39 β π 17 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Sam Darnold winning MVP when he was late to about half of his 15 open throws would be hilarious.
Should go to a defender.
Great play design there. Think you just get conservative here. Run the ball prob. Kick the FG. Get to 15, two TDs + a conversion just to tie.
09.02.2026 02:23 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0TreVeyon Henderson, for all his flaws, was the only RB in the NFL with 4 runs of 50+ yards this year. JT only other who had 3.
Pats going to him more just hoping to hit something.
I was hopeful we might get the best version of these teams, but weβre watching two flawed teams meet on the biggest stage (one more flawed than the other so far)
09.02.2026 02:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Patriots still not beating the soft schedule allegations. This is roooough.
09.02.2026 02:00 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0JSN won on that route and at the end had to plant his upfield leg and jump back toward the QB β never a great sign
09.02.2026 01:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Super late from Darnold. Had plenty of room to lead JSN. Second time heβs missed him for a TD.
09.02.2026 01:09 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Pats continue to be conservative relative to down, distance, situation. Just trying to hang in, it seems.
09.02.2026 00:33 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Patriots more afraid of Drake Maye than Seahawks are of Sam Darnold early. Bit surprising.
09.02.2026 00:23 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thread clearly describes watching as an escape. Wrote first post a little silly to add some fun to the TL, didn't "celebrate excess." Most seemed to read it that way.
You responded to me with assumptions, I tried to be nice, now you're saying I'm deploying rhetorical tricks and am classless.
Get a grip, dude. Didn't move the goalposts or cut your argument in half at all. You misrepresented my use of the word excess in describing a community party as if it celebrates excess that led to oligarchy. I'm not talking about the housing crisis and fancy cars here. Just good food and community.
07.02.2026 15:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wasn't trying to misquote you. You responded to me, and I'd argue misinterpreted my message as well. I do now see the line you're drawing from my use of the word excess. There are always different paradigms. I respect that you took issue with my framing, but we don't need to argue.
07.02.2026 15:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you see what's happening for what it is, you're probably pretty concerned about the future. Maybe try to find some joy in the now. If that's walking through trees and breathing fresh air, instead of the SB, do that. And try not to remind yourself there are people who don't have even that luxury.
07.02.2026 15:29 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0It canβt only be doom. I understand the negativity but finding joy where we can is important to living.
07.02.2026 15:23 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0If we don't make time to enjoy things we'll never survive. Even if you hate sports you can enjoy that JD Vance is getting booed everywhere he goes
07.02.2026 15:21 β π 11 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0I fully reject the premise we can't enjoy any aspect of the way of life we want for others until everything is fixed. It's literally what we're fighting for.
I don't know who needs to hear this but life is a journey. It doesn't make you a bad person to try to find joy where possible along the way.
I could do more. I'm no saint. There are people breaking themselves every day to fight for something bigger than them. A way of life. For more people than our current government believes deserves that way of life.
07.02.2026 15:20 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 01) There's good research that suggests a mental break from the constant information loop is probably necessary for all humans.
2) The America I'm proud of is fighting for the values I'll be celebrating, most notably community. I don't believe that has to equate to celebrating what you're saying.
100% agree with that sentiment, too. Just feel we have to compartmentalize and find joy in life where we can.
07.02.2026 14:58 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm still such a wide-eyed little kid about the Super Bowl. It's Super Bowl Eve. Tomorrow is the whole thing, the pomp and circumstance, the food, the booze, the capitalism, the American excess. It's a beautiful thing.
07.02.2026 14:47 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0That seems right. Logical follow up: Assuming fair play, and I assume including the testicles, did we just learn a larger package is a significant performance enhancer in ski jumping, because physics?
06.02.2026 23:55 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0There are so many related questions. Outside the obvious, I want to know if they also bulk up for measurements then cut weight before jumping. Like, in areas other than the penis. Or is it just the aerodynamics of the crotch that are key here?
06.02.2026 23:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Teasing a story about winning Catan without building a road is diabolical marketing
