For me it was 50% about planning long specific routes, and the app is good for that (so far). Not just picking a destination but adding tons of waypoints, etc. It seems to get confused less than Calimoto…

Expensive yes, but its value is a bit personal: is the mini-map display enough for you? Do you ride a sporty posture where you may lean too forward to see it easily? For me it works well. The beep when you’re approaching a turn is subtle but a big help.

New navigation tech before a weeklong ride into the desert: The Beeline Moto2 was the only option, not wanting to spoil the Guzzi’s classic looks with a bloody phone bolted to the handlebars. Also a nice flashback to the Enfield’s Tripper in its minimal styling, but a better unit overall. #motosky

Finally did the ride up (and eventually back down) Mt. Lemmon. Excellent twisties technique practice. Up to 8000+ feet from the desert floor to the pines. The V7 is a torquey little thing. An eager climber. #MotoSky #MotoGuzzi

My best friend & musical collaborator lived on Ocean Ave near Kings Hwy station (1980s): fond memories of visits from DC and the tiny life-affirming corner bagel shop (simply called HOT BAGELS). Returned several years ago & the shop was twice the size and “nice” (sigh, alas).. interesting ‘hood.

Mixing cooper black with ALL the colors + a weirdly subtle fake italic takes a supreme level of confidence. Five stars.

First time I’ve had these, so we shall see. Also the desert heat here will keep any tire’s lifetime short. All the more reason to get out there and ride like mad…

We must work up to such enlightenment, grasshopper. Start as Wrong-Way Feldman and you’ll be on the path to Coconut Bra-hood. I think that’s how it works, or I’ve wasted a hell of a lot of time.

I’m expecting rapid wear here (Arizona) .. the dry heat chews up tires quickly. For now, just enjoying the change from Guzzi’s standard issue Pirelli Sport Demons (which were fine, but not that “demonic” honestly). The difference is incredible.

Amazing how a slightly more aggressive tread pattern can boost the vibe of the whole damn bike. Bridgestone AX41S on the #MotoGuzzi V7. Perfect choice. Very road-hungry.
