It's important that Canada emerge from this war as a reliable global trading partner, but we need to make trade with an unreliable partner expensive, as is the norm.

Those are commercial rates for commercial users and not a reasonable fare for a typical traveler, even at 50% discount. I took this ferry a few times for work in the early 2000s when it was borderline reasonable at around $95. This ferry is not for the public anymore, even with the break.
