I spent hundreds of hours playing CS:GO in highschool and I barely ever escaped silver. My sleep schedule and mental were so trash. These days I'm actually getting decent at deadlock.

The characters grew on me. I think part of that is that Valve always gets stellar voice talent though, the VA makes them much more charismatic. Anyway they just added a sleepy little dude with an even littler dude
27.01.2026 01:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I watched some friends play it for a couple rounds. I'm willing to accept that maybe I'm not giving it a fair shake (I was very mean to Deadlock when I first saw it) but it really looks like they just took mechanics from 5 different FPS trends and mashed them together into 1 game

18.01.2026 01:18 โ ๐ 39 ๐ 14 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1It's very much a hammer looking for nails. EVERYTHING in the engine is tree nodes. There is no distinction between game objects and components, it's just trees all the way down. Which can make the hierarchy kind of a nightmare to look at.
05.01.2026 01:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Which is funny because not only do I have plenty of experience in other engines, it shows that they probably don't have that much experience in other engines.
05.01.2026 01:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This reminds me of Godot people telling me that needing to set raycast parameters into a node and then checking the output values of a raycast node is actually a normal way to do raycasts inline, and I only think otherwise because I've only ever used Unity before.

It's the head of the Eraserhead Baby in place of a labubu doll's faceplate.
The Eraserhead baby is disturbing. It kind of looks like a sheep fetus? But here it is, tucked in the furry little body of a bunny-like labubu.
All these photos are in black & white, to be evocative of the Eraserhead movie.
Please. My labubu is very sick.

24.12.2025 03:07 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've found that the games that use procgen (or other randomness) well tend to use it for content delivery, not content creation. Binding of Isaac for example has a bunch of dogshit items you would never use if you could just... choose, but in a random run, you might find a use for dogshit.
