Thank you. This one was roosting about ten feet from where I sleep. I actually didn't see it at first. I'm just glad I didn't scare it away when I walked onto my deck. :)

I'm really grateful FAA tech ops owns and maintains our glide slope, MALSR and localizer here. I don't even know what is involved in that. 😅 They do a great job of it.

That is actually the way you see it. You have to look down and the image is flipped. It's actually a little disorienting at first. Especially when you make adjustments.

Side view. The V shape on the left of the tool is a mirror. You look down and align the light with the next light. Each light gets adjusted and cleaned.

Two climbers hike up the ridge just before Pebble Creek. Pebble Creek is the turning point that leads to the Muir Snowfields and Camp Muir. You can see Anvil Rock in the distance. I have been up there a few times, but decided to just sit and watch the sunrise instead. Sometimes your plan changes mid journey and that's okay.
