I think that's ok to be happy to shut it down at 1-1 away to Chelsea when they've been dangerous. If we'd done it successfully that last 2 games we'd still be top of the league.

It worked well many times last season and for klopp. Mac Allister needed to be replaced (could have been subbed earlier to be fair). Might have been better to bring on Gomez at RB or CB and out Dom or Ryan back into CM though...

Konate must have been tactical, because he's terrible in possession. Slott and Klopp have both taken him off and dropped Grav back when chasing a goal

Mac Allister is a total passenger. He's not up to speed physically. Kerkez negative in possession. Salah indecisive. Konate unthreatening in possession. Everything lacking urgency or directness. No snap to our passes or movement. Looks a total mess.

I only saw 2nd half, but Jones looked bright and had urgency.

On summer transfers, it's all well trying to play clever dick and save yourself 5-10m, but if that means you get your main target too late (isak) or not at all (guehi) and fucks your season, it's not so clever really.

Might just have to bench Wirtz for a while and go back to a stable team. Get Robbo, Gomez and Bradley back in. Grav and Dom in the middle. Not sure if I can stomach Macca, so maybe Jones, then I don't know about up front. Salah has been awful, but maybe focus on getting him and Isak to link up?

That was infuriating. They had 2 players go down with "cramp" on 96 mins and he added on no extra time. That said, Konate or Wirtz would probably have just used the extra time to give the ball away...

Agreed with most of that. Arteta is definitely a draw for new players, but I'm not sure it's the main factor for retaining players vs Real Madrid. Particularly when Madrid also have an exciting Basque manager of their own.

This approach is going to start to bite LFC. You could argue it saves them money in the short term, but leaving talented players on low wages surely causes discontent and risks them becoming unsettled, possibly underperform, and their salary denand will be much higher if they sign later than sooner
