Yeah it really bugs me! Sonic fan games are always so obsessed with the power fantasy of speed. Most of them have you fly over the levels, and if they don't then they have to make the stages HUGE to compensate. Even making a fan game scaled to SA1/2 speed and size would be a breath of fresh air.

SA1 is maybe my favorite game of all time but its partially because its a Saturn 3D Sonic title with a recoat. I love the modern designs but the Saturn version of itself would kill the DC version in mortal combat. Thems the brakes

"Sir, Sonic robo blast 2 already exists" i like it but it relies too much on mouse + keyboard controls. Plus its too fast. You are not prepared for how not-fast this one will be. It will send chills down your spine(s, because you're a hedgehog)

Splatoon is a 1 because I like the aesthetics and characters but REALLY don't like playing it. Star Fox and EarthBound are 5s for me and I adore them but they're dead and will never come back, ever, because God doesn't love me

FWIW Pikmin and Metroid are only 2 stars because I haven't played enough, but I am interested to check out more. DK I'm eh on almost every game except Bananza and DK'94 for the Game Boy. Pokemon's a 3 because gen 1/2 are a 5 and the rest are a 1. Zelda's a 5 but we aren't on speaking terms rn lol.
