Super humbled to get some great press on Bitmask Games and GGJ this year, but absolutely floored to see it made front page news! We all need a bit of good news these days, right? Kids coming together to make new NES games - what better news is there? :-)

Happy holidays! Continuing to toil away at out proverbial north pole on more tools to help bring new people to the retro development party :-) very early peek, but figured it made for a good holiday share!

You know, i’ve never seen the connection before, maybe it’s the b&w treatment, but he absolutely could’ve stepped in to Brandon Lee’s shoes to continue The Crow series. And we know from TDK he had the range to go that dark. Alas.

Friends, I don't care how strong a person you are, but if you don't bawl uncontrollably at the loss of your faithful dog, you're probably incapable of love. Thank you for being the best companion a man could ask for for almost 2 decades, and teaching my kids to love animals. I'll miss you very much.

Right? And watching their face light up when they see it on a real console and CRT even though nostalgia can’t be a reason as to why…it’s always so validating!

Children of all ages. I think a lot of folks who were at some point terrified of ASM and never would've had the confidence to make the jump are now coding their own complete engines. I'm glad to see it as a nice stepping stone, and with some amazing games launched into the world with it :-)

This is another trying day in a difficult week that's part of a hard month wrapped up in a rough year. But there are bright spots. When looking for local devs to see if they'd be interested in a #GGJ location at the studio, I accidentally found this. I hope everyone else finds a small win today too!

For those who may think it's a competition, we are SUPER excited for our friends at @gbstudiocentral.com that a mod was able to make a new tool for making NES games, too. Anything that brings more people to the party, I support! I hope folks will be excited for RetroGameForge, too - keep an eye out!

Hey, if there is one NES developer that would be my go-to to have a frosty beverage with...no contest, my dude :-) And yeah, thanks for helping me start on this journey!

All the awesome NESdev crew helped me cut my teeth on NES development so many years ago. People like @pineight.com and Memblers and @kevinhanley.khangames.com and Kasumi and so many others are why I even had the confidence to start making NES games. All hail the NESdev folks :-)

Thanks! Curious to find out how friendly the platform is. I didn't really want to add another social media platform to my daily routine, but...a few friends convinced me to check it out :-)
