Communications officer training today, thank you to our Regional team for organising it

They were hoping to see the BBC at the event today to discuss the need for a real Living Wage but they were unable to attend #LivingWage #CitizensUK Please share and quote and see if the BBC will accredit as a Living Wage employer before more action is planned by this group

As the branch communications officer, I attended an event that university students have been working on. The aim is to push the BBC to accredit as a Living Wage employer.
 As an important public institution the BBC should Pay Their Workers Fairly.

Our Branch in-person AGM is this Thursday 6th March at (Regent Campus) & online on Friday 7th March (MS Teams, link was sent via email) Both run from 12:00 to 14:00 You only need to attend one AGM to vote on important matters in the workplace & workplace stewards/branch officers.

University staff to hold coordinated strikes over pay

HE members have suffered a real-terms pay cut of around 25% over the last 14 years due to year on year rises that were below inflation. The current offer from the UCEA, a 5-8% pay rise depending on salary spinal point,
