MarcusRashford a great player and so much more. Given the chaotic Leadership and Management at MUFC over the ladt decade I think he's done well.
Hope he shares more great moments at Man Utd (in a calm, supportive and focused environment) and continues to support those in need
Labour going further on the winding back of academy freedoms than expected by tackling pay too - interested to see how/if that relates to CEO pay
Ending the automatic academisation of failing schools seems quite symbolic

Ballpark flat tax numbers: a fiscally neutral income tax flat tax would be about 25% - i.e. 5% increase in basic rate, 15% cut in higher rate. So the average earner would pay about £1,200 more tax/year. Someone on £100k would pay £5k less. Someone on £200k, £30k less.

Hard to believe it started as a little experiment when @profbeckyallen.bsky.social, @aweatherall.bsky.social & I all had full-time jobs.
Now there’s 14 of us making it work - across multiple countries! And 12k of you taking part each day 😘
What an experiment!
Super analysis from @samanthajbooth.bsky.social and @fftedudatalab.bsky.social - new inspections will give parents a more positive picture, as many schools had one or more better sub grades than their overall judgement
Will be difficult to distinguish for a parent between the old RI and Good now
Loved today at Hope Academy. Thanks for all your organisation and time today, Mike.

02.09.2024 16:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think the issue about retaining the sub judgments is that we will be having a whole new process for inspection which will take sometime to develop - so short term retention of the framework is seen as necessary. But we’re on right trajectory now.
02.09.2024 12:57 — 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0So many heads in the past told me: “right judgement, wrong route to getting there”. The sub judgements are so unreliable and now they will be closely interrogated.
