1. Purge govt of non loyalists
2. Weaponize law against opponents
3. Use military to police opposition strongholds
4. Threaten media, schools, businesses w penalties to get them to heel
5. Change election rules in his favor.

”People often become what they scorn. Donald Trump has become the deep state.
He is the keeper of the secrets. He is the one stealing away people’s liberties. He is the one weaponizing government and protecting the ruling class.”
Experimenting with the Timo variety today.

I was a Vatican correspondent during the previous sede vacante in 2013. I remember the long nights at St. Peter’s Sq, and the jubilation that followed the white smoke. Pope Francis was and has been immensely popular - now a power struggle is inevitable between the progressives and the conservatives.
