"@lauragmitchell.com says getting a cargo bike was a "game changer" for her family. So, earlier this year, she started the @mplscargobikelibrary.com, where residents can check out a bike for free, to test it out, or for the occasional trip to a big box store."

Trump to Withhold $18 Billion for New York-Area Transit Projects

This sort of petty nonsense from the lawless goon we have as a president is why I believe we need to find a way to withhold funds from the federal government until there is more fiscal accountability.

@chrismoise.ca,

Rather than disabling quote posts, consider why you were ratioed and reflect on the underlying issue.

Acknowledging the mistake and exploring actual, equitable solutions like protected bike infrastructure would address the root cause of this sidewalk symptom.

Toronto City Councillor Chris Moise kneels on a city sidewalk, using a yellow tool to install a circular decal that reads "PLEASE WALK YOUR BIKE OR SCOOTER" with an image of a person walking a bike. Two additional images show the decal in place and Moise standing nearby. The post announces the installation of these decals across Ward 13 to improve pedestrian safety in high-traffic areas.

The best way for my councillor @chrismoise.ca to discourage folks riding a bike or scooter from doing so on our sidewalks is to do more to install an expansive and well-connected bike network throughout our ward and beyond.

These decals, like blocking replies and quote posts, are not a good look.

When very well used bus lanes are asphalt and not reinforced concrete, the wheels of buses over time will destroy them. (Fifth ave)

While the Department of Justice is meeting in secret with Ghislaine Maxwell to coach her on testimony, it is hiding from us three discs containing court-authorized recordings of her phone calls. [Source: ABC News] That is the REAL evidence. And this is a cover-up.

So it's somehow a major transportation project to add a bike lane but not one to remove it ?????

We are now edging on two hours late. I have no idea how we will ever convince Oregonians, anyone in the U.S. to get out of their cars if this is what mass transit is like.

Trump is trying to manufacture a crisis in LA County β€” deploying troops not for order, but to create chaos.

Don’t take the bait. Never use violence or harm law enforcement.

My story and feelings are very similar to this author. More people should have the option of (and ability to afford) a walkable neighborhood, and it's why I got into my work with @moreneighbors.org

"Restrictive zoning doesn't protect the character of our communities, in fact, by driving young people & working families out... we're sacrificing the very fabric of our communities.

For all that MA gets right... we're failing our residents when it comes to housing." @juliancyr.bsky.social

If it feels counterintuitive that reducing driver delay makes roads safer, it's because it's not true.
Our new paper explores why this myth persists, and offers a better way to think about #congestion and #roadsafety ⬇️

A new state law is halting zoning reforms in Louisville. Here's why that matters Local lawmakers say they oppose the state-mandated moratorium, which came as a surprise addition to a bill that changes how Louisville is governed.

This story is under-discussed in YIMBY circles.

Republicans in Kentucky imposed a moratorium on all zoning changes in the city of Louisville last year, and they are moving to continue it later this year.

I have seen many reviews of Amtrak long distance service and many state that the meals are free with the sleeper car accommodations. There is a fee for the meals but it is INCLUDED in the cost of the ticket. Coach seats are comfy, spacious and cheaper with no meals, just the cafe car.
I've done it
