We Need to Talk About ICE and Anti-Abortion Centers
These groups prey on immigrant women and collect their data. It's not hard to imagine what happens next.
Crisis pregnancy centers have long served as the surveillance apparatus of the anti-abortion movement. With both CPCs, which have always preyed on immigrant women, and ICE increasingly awash with gov. funding, I wrote about the rising threats to immigrant communities & how everything is connected:

New vaccine for pregnant women protects babies from serious lung infection, study shows
Vaccination of pregnant women has been linked to a drop in newborns being admitted to hospital with a serious lung infection, research suggests.
โResearchers found the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine, introduced across the UK in late summer 2024, led to a 72% reduction in babies hospitalized with the virus if mothers were vaccinated.โ

Our new study found that people in states with bans are more than twice as likely to have abortions later in pregnancy.
โBanning abortion doesnโt eliminate the need, it just forces people to travel farther and wait longer,โ explains ANSIRH researcher Diana Greene Foster.

1 in 4 pregnancies ends in a miscarriage.
Miscarriages, also known as spontaneous abortions, are common and not the fault of the mother.
This order will make it difficult for women to search for care during their pregnancy, endangering their lives. This isn't pro-life.
