Yet I don’t romanticize unions. Many are top down, anti-leftist, aren’t antagonistic to capitalism, and have racist members. But they’re legible to many and organized, a good place to start experimenting. Unions are what we make them.

i can appreciate a lot of the work that jane goodall did and experienced that paved the way for primatologists today. and also, i want to point out that a lot of the work in her later years wrt overpopulation was rooted in eugenics.

(i don’t think i am strong enough for a TT position so academia outside of postdocs are likely out)

unfortunately you all are going to be hearing about the job market a lot for the foreseeable future because i am casually on it now and the fastest way to get me to stop talking about it is to get me employed :)
