Pointing out he needs the best roster to win is exactly what I meant by he’s the doc rivers. Look at the rosters Doc won with and you’ll see what I mean. The big 3 in Boston and nothing else.

Not really. He didn’t start winning when it mattered till the 60-game Covid year and since he’s had the highest payroll in baseball and they spent more than a BILLION dollars the last 2 years. So yeah, just like Doc unless he’s loaded with hall of famers he can’t win titles.

He’s the Doc Rivers of MLB managers. Give him the best roster and he wins but anything less and dude isn’t sure what he’s doing.

It is impressive. However for all those that complained in the late 90s and early 2000s that the Yankees bought their titles, this is the actual meaning of that. The Yankees at least used a bunch of homegrown talent on the roster, the Dodgers have 1 homegrown player on their entire roster.

For sure. That was arguably the most creative midfield play we've had all year and it came by not having Betancur & Palhinha in midfield which stifles play. We are quickly figuring out just how specialized the players were needed for Ange's system & how some don't really switch systems that easily.

The only real positives I'm taking out of that performance are:

Johnson and Richy aren't starting worthy
We know we need a striker, LW, and 2 keepers
Less crowded schedule means easier to balance injuries
We know what to work on now

Only positive for Spurs is less games on the calendar for a team battling injuries and depth issues. Other than that nothing good from tonight.

And RKM for Richy

Better last 15 minutes than first 30 for Spurs but we need big changes at half with Kudus and RKM on and Richy and Johnson off and wouldn’t mind seeing Tel for Betancur

I’m guessing it’s a rest but odd to be dropped. The formation as near as I can tell is a 3-1-4-2 which is interesting for sure.
