Do other people make maps when running #CandelaObscura? I didnt when I ran it the first time & they don't in CR but Im trying something new & was curious. Nothing special just enough 2 understand the lay of the land 4 both fights & investigation. I feel like itll help things maybe flow a bit better.

Been focusing on honing my #GM style thatll work with my disabilities & I got the last piece of the puzzle today! Already got a #CandelaObscura 1-Shot in the works & am getting there on a long term #Daggerheart campaign! Got other stuff as well but needless 2 say it seems things are coming together!

Sounds dope! Uplifted is like Animals and other non-human stuff with like augmented intelligence, right?

rewarding RP as well as stuff like difficulty. Seems very versatile 2 making it possible to run different types of games
• Concept of Forking in particular dope there being Alpha, Beta & Gamma levels is brilliant & I love the moral implications
• As a Stargate fan gatebreaking made me very excited!

Admittedly not a ton but I can tell you what I think so far

• World building & parallels to the real world r fantastic & pretty genius
• Using percentile dice as the main dice is really interesting & something I never thought of & I love it
• Rez points are cool I like the idea of

I went in with a new perspective based on reading some #vtm stuff recently focusing on being in the moment & only the PCs/NPCs development not worrying about how long anything takes as long everyone is having fun which I think is how it should be in a long term game #ttrpgs #d&d

My last #DnD session (I'm a player) is easily 1 of my favorites. It was almost entirely a philosophical argument around a table. All the other players (including the DM obvs) were on their A game & we got some fantastic roleplay. I was able 2 really explore my new character which was awesome! #ttrpg

Like that level of awareness and strategy ability while using his powers in a new way is just nuts. Easily one of the best portrayals of battle strategy I've seen maybe ever but not just from #Deku everyone in #class1A is so competent it's refreshing and highly entertaining to watch! #mha

Watching #mha & Ive heard how badass #Deku is but he's built different fr like he just predicted an ambush in 3 secs then avoided at least 6 attacks at once then later he's avoiding like 10+ attacks & is still able 2 realize his friend isnt really her its a shapeshifter all in the span of 5 secs

Woke up like 3 days ago with an idea 4 what could be a super cool #vtm campaign w/ 5-6 players which is nuts cause Ive never played it, have only GMed once in 1-shot & have been saying for months I would only ever do max 4...I feel like my brain cant make up its mind 😅🤣 #ttrpgs #vampirethemasquerade

Played my first #dnd5e ranger last night! While it was a RP only session so I can't speak to combat yet so far rangers are imo fantastic for roleplay! The favored enemy and high wisdom was fantastic for an investigative game especially when paired with Keen Mind! #dnd #ttrpg

Switching characters in my #dnd game & trying a new type of low kinda raspy voice 4 this character that fits perfectly. Too bad my OCD is telling me Im gonna damage myself somehow which I know is possible but this is 1 of those times I wish my brain would shut tf up so I can have fun 🙄🤣 #ttrpgs

Hold the phone just came into possession of the rulebook 4 #starfinder & the concept of a science fiction specific #ttrpg is blowing my mind after only playing fantasy mostly DnD. Cant wait 2 read it altho a little worried as I def think itll B the most mechanics heavy game Ive checked out by far

Until recently Ive always seen being a #gamemaster or #dungeonmaster portrayed as something requiring lots of work, stress and general difficulty but this new style of emergent narrative might just be what works for me especially as someone who is #disabled and cant do a lot of prep 3/3

Its always made more sense 2 me 2 create the world but not a specific story but I think Im starting 2 maybe understand why some dont prepare much cause if u just have a bunch of encounters, settings and NPCs that you can just move around in that world that might B all you need 2/3 #ttrpgdiscussion

Came across a term in reference to a type of #gamemaster style in #ttrpgs called emergent narrative where there's no planned story u craft one as you go based on what the PCs do. Now this is how I've been thinking about doing it but didnt know there was a name for it lol 1/3

Trying 2 #homebrew a subclass in #daggerheart & I love how simple it is! 3 features w/ 2 abilities each is far more user friendly imo than the DnD 1s I've made. I mean Ive never been able 2 create a full DND class but this gives me a lot of hope that I might be able to create a custom DH 1 soon!

You summed up my thoughts on the campaign frames perfectly! They are also really easy to tweak if you want! I admit I haven't looked at Witherwild yet lol but I immediately loved Motherboard and am gonna run a One-shot using it soon.

John Carter setting is a super fun idea! Could flavor the flying mechanics (Faerie & Seraph) as his leaping especially paired with the Faun ancestry leaping ability maybe? Also the chase countdown mechanics could prob be applied to spaceships. Hmm lots of possibilities fr!
