Just did that! I've nabbed the keyboard from the desktop in my office; and I think we have a spare keyboard at home that I'll be able to use.

Luckily, the desktop computer in my office has a USB keyboard, which after another reboot after plugging it in, my laptop recognizes, so maybe not all is lost.

I am back in, but I'm not sure I "got it back". I waited until the weekend when I had a block of time to do some troubleshooting, but I wanted first to get a screenshot of the message I got about the disablement, so I tried logging back in...and it worked.

Well shit.

I think my laptop keyboard has died.

So much for my "from 10:30-4:00 I only have one meeting, I'll get so much done!" productivity plan for today...

But then I decided I didn't want to do just tons and tons and tons of small squares, so I wondered if it'd be possible to "double" this pattern into something that was the same, but bigger. So the large squares are my own pattern!

That is 100% the goal! (I have actually taken a photograph of Durham Cathedral's rose window, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to attempt replicating it to fill the gap in the middle.

Huh. Interesting. That sort of authority got removed from our "admissions" person 5-6 years ago. It's all centralized at my institution.

I'm not sure I know what a CAL is...

Are they actually involved in *admissions*, or are they just handling the recruitment side of things?

My gut feeling is that this is an Oxbridge thing that roughly none of the other 160+ HE institutions in the UK have.
