Dependence is physical; addiction is neurological. They're independent of each other." I was dependent on the ibuprofen until I finally found the solution and got the surgery I needed to get healed. Then once I was healed I didn't need the ibuprofen anymore. So, no I wasn't addicted... I was in chronic pain and physically dependent on the ibuprofen to allow me to be able to live everyday life and play basketball.
