“But how could he win?” asked bird. “Is democracy broken?”

“Sadly,” replied bear, “it’s the people who are broken.”

It will take all of us to:

- take care of one another
- protect our democracy
- "fill the sky with the light of a billion brilliant stars."

On finding hope

“But what can I do,” asked bird.

“Be you,” replied bear. “Just be you.”

Together, we will populate Brené Brown's collective Big Hope with 70+ million Individual Hopes coming together.

And it will something to behold.

Who are you? What do you love? Will you stand for it?

On holding it all in

“But if I let it out,” explained sparrow, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to put it back in.”

“Some things,” replied mouse, “were never meant to be kept inside.”

Can you name an emotion you’re holding in post-election? Naming what we feel is a first step toward action.

On naming what you love

“Would it be wrong to say ‘cookie’?” asked bear.
“It seems to me,” replied bird, “it would be wrong not to.”

What do you love?

What will you to do to protect it? What will you do to help others protect what they love?

Together, Americans will stand for what we love.
