The people who want violent protests to happen are Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Tom Homan, and other senior appointees in his admin. They are doing everything they possibly can to provoke people to violence and it is obvious that is what they hope for daily.

And I know, part of it is that I'm just getting older and inflation's a real thing. I still have hundreds of places with more reasonably priced drinks to enjoy. But beers breaking the $10 bar and cocktails in the $20s does feel ominous for lower or middle-income people's ability to enjoy the city.

I just met family at Oscar Wilde in Chelsea. Very lovely and over the top restaurant. It was a tiki drink with well rum, velvet falernum, juice, and bitters. I've lived in NY for decades. It's pretty recent that restaurant cocktails broke the $20 mark. When Employees Only opened, theirs were $12.

We are now at the $25 midtown cocktail phase of late stage capitalism. Everyone’s squeezing everyone else SOOOOO hard. Utterly unsustainable.

So, no national guard on January 6th, but definitely on August 11th. Makes total sense.

The Press has not been taking what's happening seriously enough. Every E.O., every ignored court order, every innocent person kidnapped, every obfuscating his relationship with Epstein, ....it should all be IN BOLD and ABOVE THE FOLD nonstop with red light emergency emojis on either side.

We are at the point in this country where military personnel & law enforcement personnel & government officials need to say no to the tyrant. We are at the point in this country where Americans serving in government need to disobey his orders.

We’re well past that point.

Why isn't there reporting on the fact that there's no way the Florida concentration camp can cost $400 million or that the proposed White House "ballrooom" could cost $200 million? Where is the money really going???? Feels like a total softball being thrown to the press. Why's no one swinging?

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%. 

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
