data first, AI later Prioritize data for trusted AI in healthcare. Improve efficiency & unlock innovation. Learn how.

Unfortunately analysis of point of care data from different EHRs is virtually impossible without having to wrangle the data and hence introduce significant bias for down stream use such as #AI and #bigdata purposes. We need a data first AI later strategy

I think data quality has ultimate importance. I see VERY limited possibilities with innovation with AI/ML if we don't improve the data. We could do so much with the traditional risk modelling but our data & understanding have been limited. Why would AI/ML would be different without data improvement?

I wouldn't hold my breath for these "personalised AI tools". We can do a lot with classical statistics, something with ML, but AI guided personalization requires data we do not have.

Nice article! Indeed AI tools need to be benchmarked in RCTs. They must provide some health benefits, not just being a cool tool that costs big money to be updated.
