Dr. David McKee leads the Marine Optics and Remote Sensing Group at the Physics Department, University of Strathclyde and holds an adjunct position with the Arctic and Marine Biology Department at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

New project investigates the unique characteristics of arctic plankton Sinéad Collins will provide answers to what makes arctic phytoplankton unique.

We are very excited to welcome Prof. Sinéad Collins from the University of Edinburgh! Through the 2-year UMF Borealis scholarship, she’ll use the #mesocosms @umeaunimarine.bsky.social to investigate which characteristics really make arctic #phytoplankton ”arctic”.
