Beginners , you don’t have to maximize your art practice to get better at drawing.

You can just draw sometimes. It doesn’t have to be good. You don’t have to learn a new skill with every piece. You won’t get “left behind.”

I try to keep posting art but I don’t have the motivation when so much is fucked up. I’m drowning, and seeing other people below the surface makes me sink even deeper.

I agree with the sentiment that people still need art. I do.

But I can’t do it anymore and what would it matter anyway?

I try to remind myself that the burning hatred I feel towards all that is disgustingly evil, is evidence of my honest love for humanity. I’m not alone. Most of us care about each other.

Fuck the colors of my art are terrible on any screen but that’s how it goes with digital format. Don’t know whether to trust my phone adjustments or calibrated laptop screen. The difference is huge.

Oh no :( can you not use them anymore?

I am a decent watercolorist, but I no longer have the patience. Gouache and acrylic gouache are not working out either.

I really like POSCA and Tombows. In fact, my Tombows are mostly dry from being used. :/ But I have a unknown hang-up about using markers.

I had to give up oils because the I have an allergy to common binders and I still don’t have a large enough space for ventilation.

I can’t grip pastel sticks anymore because I have arthritic thumbs (thanks gaming).

So my two main mediums were lost and I’ve been frustrated ever since.
