'They spent the child benefit in the pub' was a 1970s cliche about the very worst sort of parents. Now it's Farage's policy.

I took number two daughter to its first preview, where we bumped into @johnofarrell.bsky.social in the interval, & she's not stopped raving about it ever since, so she'll explode with joy at £20 standing tickets I just got for its closing night. Thank you for such a joyful & incredibly funny show.

Thank you. People always talk of Broadway and Eastleigh in the same sentence.

I must say I feel so much better about Amazon sucking all the money out of publishing and denying authors any viable income, now that I know that all those millions were used to pay Melania for her pisspoor propaganda film.

I think Andrew should do another interview with Emily Maitlis to draw a line under all this.

John Logie Baird transmitted the first television images a hundred years ago today. And then his grown up kids were immediately asking for his log-in code.

I think I understand #BlueMonday now. Apparently it's when everyone is a little bit depressed, because it's cold and dark and the glow of Christmas has faded and it's the start of World War Three.

Two weeks of brilliant public transport and great service across Japan, then back to a 2 hour wait for our baggage to turn up at Heathrow. No explanation or apologies from @british-airways.bsky.social - just me being embarrassed in front of lots of tourists getting their first impression of the UK.

Sir Michael Palin reflects on the "step into the unknown" that would become a comedy classic Ripping Yarns, the masterly anthology series that Palin created with fellow Python Terry Jones, is 45 this week – and now on BritBox. So how did it come about? And which is Palin's favourite episode?

Happy 50th birthday, Ripping Yarns! The comedy anthology created by Michael Palin and Terry Jones began #OTD in 1976 with the pilot episode. A few years ago I sought the views of Sir Michael and superfan @johnofarrell.bsky.social: www.radiotimes.com/tv/comedy/si... @radiotimes.bsky.social

Well the Japanese Something Rotten was great! I never imagined when we were writing this show in a cafe in Clapham, that one day we’d be meeting a wonderful cast in Tokyo.
