Well I do applaud the fact that you are analyzing sub nL of plasma :)

But is data better on an Ultra at low levels for all sample types versus a less sensitive instrument at higher loads?

I think the sds page was used for visualization only. Many more fluids to go, including numerous airway (bronchoalveolaer and nasal lavage, sputum, exhaled condensates) and sex-specific (breast milk, cord blood, amniotic fluid) to name a few.

Nice work. Thoughts on reference pools for whole blood proteomics? Limited to mixing blood from compatible donors, which we have done on a small scale.

You can make a multi-course meal with NIST standards. Quenelles de SRM 1946 anyone? Mousse au SRM 2384? Finishing with an SRM 1196, if you're so inclined. @benneely.com can probably tell you how to best prepare the SRM 1945.

An Evosep will give you most of the benefits of micro or analytical flow in terms of throughput, minimizing carryover and robustness. Except for low input, what are the benefits of nanoLC?

Still doing 1 mm (100 uL/min) for some neat biofluids where it's easy to digest a ton but I tend agree that input requirements can be limiting. The sweet spot for these systems is really 30+ micrograms on column IMO....

Also there is a direct connection to QuantumSi in this referenced work. The single molecule counting idea has been around a long time.

US20040166106A1 - Sets of digital antibodies directed against short epitopes, and methods using same - Google Patents The present invention relates generally to sets of digital antibodies directed against short epitopes, and use thereof in methods for protein analysis.

Sorry my memory doesn't go back too far but you might trace some of NGS back to this: patents.google.com/patent/US200...

All the original PRM work was done on QEs. Same way we used to do DIA. tMS2 method with inclusion list which includes retention time window and center of m/z window and width (if it’s variable).

NIH scientists say that mRNA vaccines have saved untold thousands of lives. A heroin addled nepo baby whose brain was partially eaten by a worm says mRNA vaccines are worthless and even dangerous. For busy medical patients, it can be hard to know who to trust.

Predictably after a few weeks of a favorable exchange rate had our most expensive meal (meh; have to get used to tipping again) in the Minneapolis airport with mouse running around the restaurant. A few highlights…

Is it 16,000+ unique protein groups, or just total detected in the two runs?

I have used that term recently. What do you call multi-omics when it's just proteomes (e.g. proteins, glycopeptides, phosphopeptides) and doesn't include transcriptomics/sequencing or metabolomics?
