I admit that I have enjoyed messing around with AI image generation for side projects and amusement. Here's one attempt at making 2D art of a couple of custom figures I made a while back (grimdark Teddy Ruxpin @ Grubby); I've also used AI to mock up some custom ideas I plan to realize in 3D someday.

Oh, I see -- you mean for models with multiple parts! My first thought was, "Wait... are you saying one should break single things up into pieces? That seems unnecessary!" But most of what I'm modeling is action figure heads, and they're all one piece anyway. 😅

Interesting. For me, those two *feel* pretty close -- even interchangeable, though I mostly get the difference in common usage. (The first time I heard the word "facetious," it was used against me as an insult when the speaker meant something more akin to "sarcastic." In truth, I was being neither!)

I feel like there are solutions that will smooth out resin and other materials, but I don't know of any for PLA. That said, I've not googled it in a while. Hmmmm.

I was mainly just trying to figure out the extent to which breathing is a conscious activity for others! But as I ponder it more, I wonder if my processes are really different or if I experience/perceive consciousness somewhat differently. That might track. I keep coming back to the driving analogy.

As much as I get it -- the House investigation into Hunter was a clown show, and who knows what unscrupulousness would happen under a newly emboldened Trump -- this somehow doesn't sit well with me. How can we criticize Trump for self-serving actions when Biden does things like this?

So in those moments I can prioritize the conversation; I might even feel comfortable turning my head to look at the passenger. But if I stop paying attention to the driving, next thing I know I've rammed a pole or a parked car or a shopping cart. And that's when I need to gasp to catch my breath. 😅

With the conversation analogous to other tasks and breathing akin to driving. It's certainly doable given that I'm not driving terribly fast, and a parking lot may have empty areas where it's not imperative that I focus *intensely* on driving (which may be akin to meditation etc).

I do run up on my breath a fair bit! It generally results in my feeling strained and headachey. As for how I get anything done -- I'm used to it, I guess! To help you imagine... it's maybe a little bit like trying to have a conversation with a passenger while driving through a parking lot?

Take walking. One may walk in one's sleep, but mostly it is a conscious and deliberate act. One may or may not analyze the feel of one's toes, the sound of one's footsteps, etc, but one must actively walk in order for it to happen. Breathing is like that for me. It's only automatic when I'm asleep.

I'm not sure you're following? And -- while I appreciate your input! -- I wasn't asking for meditation advice so much as trying to see how (un)common my experience of breathing is. At least up to a point, I don't have to *try* to hold my breath. I will hold my breath if I don't actively breathe.

I'm a true believer when it comes to ethics. Connecting with people mostly out to make a buck is incredibly disheartening? These attitudes have kinda ruined the toy collecting/customizing community IMO.

Thank you! But it's more than knowing -- it's actively doing. Admittedly I am not typically trying to feel the temperature of the air at the edge of my nostrils. But breathing does require me to decide, "I will take a breath now," (if not in so many words) and then to follow through with the action.
