“It was fun…Cooper’s great…I think he got the jitters out. In the 2nd game, he came back with 30…I’m excited to play with Coop & just look forward to his progression.”

The #Mavs are shutting down Cooper Flagg for the remainder of Summer League, a person’s familiar with the decision confirms.

Flagg averaged 20.5 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block in his two games against the #Lakers and #Spurs.

Can confirm that longtime NBA assistant coach Popeye Jones is expected to return to the #Mavs as a member of Jason Kidd's coaching staff.

Vogel spent last season with the Mavs as a coaching consultant. He now takes the top assistant job under Kidd, who was an assistant on Vogel’s staff with the Lakers from 2019-21.

#Mavs free agent guard Dante Exum has agreed to a one-year contract to remain in Dallas, a person with direct knowledge of the move confirms.

Can confirm that #Mavs free agent Spencer Dinwiddie has agreed to a one-year deal with the #Hornets.

Dallas signed Dinwiddie as an emergency PG option last season and played a team-high 79 games, averaging 11 PPG and 4.4 APG.
