I know there are so many really great third-party MรRK BORG titles out there that haven't had a printed version done or are obscure for whatever reason. I'd like to print them and make them more available, sell in my web shop, bring to cons etc. More will hopefully come.
Front covers of two zines. Left: Wands & Laserguns, featuring a futuristic neon city. Right: This Frog is Ruining my Dungeon Crawl, featuring a large frog with a small crown
Interior of Wands & Laserguns explaining that you play as a high fantasy wizard who has been teleported to a cyberpunk dystopia
Interior of This Frog is Ruining my Dungeon Crawl explaining that you have fallen into an arcane temple. A frog is taunting the player character.
New #ttrpg day!
Review copies of two really fun looking solo games from @shoutingcrow.bsky.social and @no-name-games.com
Wands & Laserguns - a fantasy cyberpunk... um... hexemup?
And This Frog is Ruining my Dungeon Crawl - which is self explanatory really.
Can we all acknowledge that "eat less, move more" is pretty lackluster advice if you don't first ask about food and exercise habits?

But more seriously - liquid leading is a thing; just kinda give and take between both partners as you go. It's nice.

The left image depicts a group of people in military-style camouflage uniforms raising a Canadian flag on a pole surrounded by rocks, with a helicopter in the background. The right image shows a group of individuals, some in red uniforms and one in a dark coat, standing in front of a Danish flag on a pole, with a frozen landscape and mountains in the background.
From 1973 to 2022, Canada and Denmark were at war.
Over the course of the war, several soldiers on both sides were wounded....by hangovers. And it was all fought over a tiny island the size of a city block.
Let's learn about The Whisky War!

The scope-creeper would like to know if that project you're working on could maybe needs to be scaled back a bit? Perhaps you could add those extra features as an update or supplemental material? Just sayin'.

A diagram showing how stapled zines are made. First, printed sheets are stacked neatly with the long side of the paper on a horizonal axis. The cover is on top, and the centerfold is on the bottom to ensure that the flat end of the staples is on the outside of the booklet. Then the halfway point is measured: make a vertical line and indicate where the top and bottom of the line hit the edges of the page. Then measure two inches from the edge of the top and bottom and mark the spaces on that line. Some special gear makes this process easier: a long-arm, swivel-arm, or booklet stapler are designed to reach the center of letter or A5 paper simple. Staple the page on those two inner markings. Flip the booklet over, then fold the book in half on the center line. Put a crisp crease on the spine. A bone folder makes that a little easier. If you have scruffy looking pages that aren't line up nicely, you can trim the edges carefully with a ruler and a craft knife. A paper guillotine or rotary cutter also work well for this final step.
Develop your drawing skills. You don't have to do it well to make it worth your time, even.
Roast a friend? Draw them looking silly.
Psychic obsession got your ass? Relieve the pressure with visual manifestations.
Explain a concept? Make a diagram.
Here's how stapled zines are made, for example.

Speaking of "my favourite adventures released this year", have y'all seen this MOTHERSHIP adventure by @gomezwrites.bsky.social? I'm deeply jealous of the layout, and I love the horrible choice presented to the players mid-game. Awful. Wonderful. Love it.

I decided to publish a free game design resource guide yesterday. You know, the least advisable day of the year to release anything.
Itโs got SRDs, art, design tips, a very short tutorial, and more tables than anyone should put in a 24 page document.
Enjoy?

Are you planning to do a daily dungeon type project this year? I made a free, printable journal for that in 2022. No spark tables, no fluff, just room to write and draw.
I like to print them out and staple them into four-week zines and fill one out a month.

Not sure the poinsettia likes the office....but there are new leaf buds starting in all the nodes, so maybe salvageable.
