1cc #883: Mini Golf. Captures a lot of the fun of mini-golf (but without those cute little pencils for keeping score). Playing it with keyboard (instead of trackball) is a silly exercise, but it was fun to learn a reliable hole-in-1 strategy for MOST of the levels.

1cc #882: Last Striker. A soccer game! Typically not something I have lot of skill or patience for. But this game has a very silly 1cc trick. If you can just dribble the ball to a certain Special Spot, a diagonal shot from there will always score a goal.

The folks behind The Amazing Digital Circus (which is also amazing) released a pilot for their new show, Knights of Guinevere. It's set in a rough-arond-the-edges dystopian world, in the shadow (literally and figuratively) of a vast amusement park.

1cc #881: Mighty Guy. Seems difficult at first until you get the hang of using your awesome remote controlled weapon. Then it's easy until loop 2 when it gets difficult again. LordBBH accurately summarized the soundscape with his MARP comment "bleep bleep boop boop screeeee boom pow pow skrkrrrttt"

Some good developments here in California! Cap-and-Trade (now rebranded as Cap-and-Invest) is renewed, and a larger share of funds now goes to reducing electricity bills. Important for speeding up the pace of replacing all the obsolete fossil burning cars, furnaces, stoves, lawn mowers and whatnot.

1cc #880: Don Doko Don. A quirky single-screen platformer by Taito with lots of charm. It feels so bad to power down on death that it's frustrating to clear. One of those video game experiences that some outdoorsy people might call "type II fun".
