Genuine question, is it safer to ignore that executive order and risk death, or buy and drive a Tesla (TSLA) and risk death?

25% of Canadians now believe the US is an "enemy of the state."
Thanks, lardass.

A pretty good summary of where I also believe that we are. We need to strengthen with our European ๐ช๐บ friends, to survive in a world where America is now the enemy.
If true this would explain a lot...

What I object to is that sheโs still being paid by the taxpayer, as a former PM, a considerable amount of money to spout this divisive and dangerous nonsense. Taxpayer funded payments to her should stop!!

Whilst this is an old story, it explains what we are seeing now around Trumpโs attitude towards Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, The West and Russia ๐ท๐บ.
The rest of us will be behind the Canadians and Democracy.
20.02.2025 22:55 โ ๐ 208 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Polls are now irrelevant, as Trump dismantles the US state and constitution.
Heโs now been elected and will be almost impossible to eject, even when his term is up.
Heโs looking at legislating that only he and his AG can interpret law. Trumpโs ownโEnabling Actโ

"I think the people of this country have had enough of experts".
Exquisite victimhood. But nobody MADE her a hard right pin-up & culture warrior. She didn't HAVE to write in the Telegraph or speak at Tory Conferences & neocon US think tanks.
Her being sidelined is just the flip-side of the huge partisan favour she has enjoyed for years.

Heโs a sociopath and a malignant narcissist, so he thinks he is superior to everyone else in every wayโฆ
04.02.2025 00:55 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I would say that heโs a bully and uses a bullying style to try and get others to bend to his will, rather than that heโs thick.
Heโs also cocky and canโt imagine that anyone would outsmart him or stand up to him, when Canada and Mexico did, he backed off.
I agree that there will be a loss of faith in buying US goods from both Canadians and Mexicans, but more importantly, this strikes me as an ignominious walk back on Trumpโs part, to try and save face, when he realised the effect tariffs would have on the US economy and his popularity!!
03.02.2025 22:33 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So neither Canada or Mexico will get tariffed but both countries will stop buying American goods after the terrible way Donald Trump has treated them.
Another huge Trump loss.

A long standing UK problem. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Last month, a poll by the European Council on Foreign Relations found that 55% think Britain should get closer to the EU, only 10% who want a more distant relationship.
A whopping 68% said they would be happy for Starmer to drop his red line on the free movement of people.
I think the playoffs are realistic at the moment.

I am EXCITED. But not because QPR are suddenly Barcelona, #hmspisstheleague etc. I'm excited because we seem to be bedding in a culture of sustainable, incremental development. Itโs not sexy, but itโs a rich oasis in the panicky desert of the last 10 years.
Thames Water is still going bankrupt after they were refused the ability to put their bills up 20% overnight.
It is time to let Thames Water go bankrupt, renationalise for free, and show all the privatised water companies what happens when they go bankrupt.
They lose everything
I wish they would stop stating the bloody obvious and just get on with fixing the fundamental problem that is making us โa more closed economyโ. I.e we need to rejoin at least the single market and customs union NOW!!! #rejoineu
