Yep, capital will always find another investment if the current one does not perform as expected anymore.

The IKEA in Springvale has this tucked away bike rack while it also has plenty more space on the same level.

That e-bike you bought your teen might be an illegal electric motorbike โ€“ and the risks are real From serious injuries to thrill-seeking rideouts, teens on overpowered e-bikes have provoked a media frenzy. But the risks of these vehicles is very real.

Good take on the on illegal e-motorbike issue in Australia. I agree theconversation.com/that-e-bike-...

Yes, the rain radar is the most important app on my phone to make cycling decisions. It is amazing how much rain you can dodge with the right information.

I tried that and the challenge with the Bullitt was to weigh the front down to keep the rear wheel up.

Agree, used it yesterday, too. I did run the rope through the frame between seat stays and seat tube. Even if I had a rear rack I am not sure I would trust it to hang the bike from. The double strap looks nice and stable, though.

Hate is a strong word in this context. It is more that people realise that it is difficult, uncertain and you know that you are not welcome. The are more inviting alternatives.

Annex businesses tell Ford to back off Bloor bike lanes Stores in the Annex say the Bloor bike lanes have been a big boost to business. As Michelle Mackey reports, the neighborhood's BIA wants the province to back off its new bill that could see the lanes ...

WATCH: Seriously, if youโ€™re following ANY bike-lane debate, you HAVE TO WATCH this news story. You actually canโ€™t make this up. Ford claims without evidence that bike-lanes are bad for small business, and THE ACTUAL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION obliterates him with data.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.

Looks good. Pedals or not, it should be categorised as a motorbike, require registration and insurance and should not be allowed on bicycle infrastructure.
I test rode an electric motorbike without pedals once. They are a nice ride but I would not switch from my cargo e-bike.

Hierarchy of hazard controls - Wikipedia

I completely agree, there should be a lot more regulations on cars to keep teenagers and pedestrians safe. ๐Ÿ˜‰ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierarc...

07.02.2026 23:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Indeed it is. Cycling is good for health, including e-bikes. What good are more regulations if we donโ€™t even bother to enforce the existing ones? We have registered and licenced drivers speeding through schools zones. There is regulation, little enforcement and no call for more regulation for safety

07.02.2026 22:10 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No, thatโ€™s not what I said.

07.02.2026 21:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I donโ€™t think it is a tiny problem but we donโ€™t solve with more regulation but rather enforcement of the regulation we have.

07.02.2026 12:25 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The regulated top speed is 25 km/h. I doubt parents with children are tuning their bikes to hoon past schools. The fact that you consider side swiping a usual occurrence says more about the safety of cars than bicycles. And cargo e-bikes usually have child seats or a protective barrier.

07.02.2026 12:11 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The same applies to cars. And it is not a lot but rather a few people and fewer people get injured by bikes than cars.

07.02.2026 12:03 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I see registration and licence as unnecessary. Registration has been considered and dismissed by countries a few times as a reasonable fee would never cover the cost of administration. As for tuition, my kids had bike education at school. That should suffice.
