It seems to me that they only need a couple more players of Stach quality to make themselves an actual ‘good’ team. There are still players in the squad who are not up PL speed quick enough when they get a game. Even with injuries Villa had a better choice from the bench. Still - 3 home wins 😀

Villa are a good team - better than us on paper - fortunately the game was played on a football pitch, so we got a point 😀

We don’t yet have the quality to kill a game in these circumstances but we do have the means to punch above our weight. #lufc are confident and well coached. A draw is a good result. 3 more home wins this season and we’ll most likely stay up. What more can you ask for right now?

#lufc maybe lack that extra edge to kill a game but given the squad and the quality they face in the PL - consistency is everything. You can always add extra class, you can’t just add confidence and a shared focus. And DF seems to have given them all the right stuff not to fail.

I loved Wuthering when I read it - it’s a thoroughly modern book that blends a kind of Old Testament brutality and poetry with an almost structuralist objectivism. And every adaptation of it sucked. This new one sounds awful but I ain’t seen it so maybe it’s fab*

He’s got a very workmanlike squad who play above their level on a regular basis - it’s not grit that turns Brendan Aaronson into a PL player! It’s persistence with the players and their ability. That’s what DF says at almost every press conference, so that must be his secret 😀

Those players can play like that because he coached to play like that. Faith in your team doesn’t make you anything but a good coach, surely?
