I'm about halfway through Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and my impressions so far are that Echoes work really well and make for some great puzzles, but really, really don't work for combat.

his death really hit and his character acting in general in that ending scene shows just how far the game has come. I'm glad we haven't seen the last of him, I really like him as a villain.

Whatever you think of Dawntrail, it has shown twice that can definitely stick a landing.

Prequels don't generally work because when writing a story, it's supposed to be biggest moment in a character's life that changes them forever. You cut out the boring stuff before it that doesn't contribute to that moment.

Doing a new story BEFORE that moment usually doesn't feel very meaningful.

Sure, but seeing a first-timer play this, the game expects the player to figure out a lot of this on their own and still lets the player go generally wherever they want. Gates are also mostly item or ability driven. The way people tend to talk about earlier games, you'd think the games were on rails

I don't want remakes of old games, I want lovingly crafted ports of old games that preserve the original, warts and all, while looking good on modern displays. Make old games legally accessible to a new crowd of people that never got to play them!

After upgrading Anglerwood to Unity 6, I was up til 3 am last night trying to figure out why my whole game was yellow.

Say it after me: Chat GPT is not a search engine. It does not scan the web for information, it just generates statistically likely sentences. You cannot use it a search engine, or as a substitute for searching.

Now. Please never use an LLM for information searches ever again.

If we want to end it, we need to first acknowledge this fact. Then mask up, clean the air & develop better vaccines & treatments.

I will say it's worth playing at least once. If it's not a good sequel, it's at least a *fascinating* one. And its soundtrack is godly.

Though if possible, I recommend Radical Dreamers first! It's very short and it's what Chrono Cross was based on.
