According to a study by Penn Wharton, Trump's "big, beautiful bill" that pays for tax breaks for the rich by cutting Medicaid leads to a $700 LOSS in income for the working class, a $1,000 LOSS in income for the poor & a $389,000 INCREASE for the top 0.1%.
We must defeat it.
Marjorie, I know the truth confuses you and facts ainβt your strong suitβso let me break it down real slow:
George Floyd didnβt die from drugs. He died because Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for 9 minutes. Thatβs called murder.
Call me a radical, but I would rather keep programs like meals on wheels going rather than spending millions on a military parade for a draft dodging president.
04.05.2025 15:39 β π 6450 π 1372 π¬ 162 π 47At a time of massive inequality, Trump's budget is breathtaking in its degree of cruelty.
It slashes funding for health care, housing & education that the working class desperately needs in order to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires & the Pentagon.
That is morally obscene.
No due process means he decides your guilt or innocence. Not the courts. Not a judge or a jury.
No longer will you be deemed innocent until PROVEN guilty.
Youβll be declared guilty and snatched off the streets with no recourse.
Is the wisdom of the Constitution kicking in yet?
JUST IN: Deputy Assistant to the President and "Counterterrorism Czar" Sebastian Gorka says anyone advocating for due process for Kilmar Abrego Garcia could be viewed as "aiding and abetting a terrorist" and be federally charged. (h/t Philip Germain)
17.04.2025 02:07 β π 21537 π 8499 π¬ 6755 π 4300Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.
If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prisonβaccused of no crime, with no trialβthey can do it to anyone.
Americans of conscience must stand against this now.
"After nearly five hours, he and his wife were released. They are now pursuing legal action.
"It's not about the immigrants," his sister, told NBC10 Boston. "It's coming to us Americans, and it's going to go after all of us."

Either the U.S. government *is* able to exert monetary and diplomatic pressure on El Salvador sufficient to produce Abrego Garciaβs release, or it isnβt.
The latter would be either a bald-faced lie or a pretty stunning concession of our national impotence. The Vice President should pick one.
When a student is snatched from campus & denied due process, speak up. When a student protestor is harassed for their viewpoint, stand in their defense. When youβre told to keep silent about diversity by a potential employer, walk away.
We must ask: What, in this hour, are we willing to risk?
We've seen videos like this before, but usually when you see a tearful wife pleading with the kidnappers who have taken her husband, she's not talking to the U.S. president

Every American should know that the Chamber of Commerce and American Bankers Association literally teamed up with the Trump administration on Monday to end the CFPB rule limiting big credit card providers to an $8 late fee. Today, in light of the agreement, the rule was vacated.
