#SundayFishSketch is a lil cutie cling fish!

An alternative to field guides is aquarium fish photo books, like the classic "Dr. Burgess's Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes" from TFH. Field guides can be limited to region, but aquarium hobby books will span more geography. Downside is gorgeous tomes like this prioritize photos over species info.

I've started a new daily drawing project, although I'm behind because of my recent travel. I'm calling it 完全変態, holometabolism, or, complete pervert, because of a shirt I got in Japan with that kanji, and which Google translated as 'complete pervert', which actually isn't wrong.

A new month for #完全変態 and I chose barnacles because it's my favorite animal fact that barnacles have the longest penis, relative to body size, in the animal kingdom.

One of my neighbors has been putting up these fish facts posters. All kinds of different fish, marine, freshwater, deep, shallow, all kinds. This is a good one. “Stg this real fish” took me out. Good work, neighbor.
