The myth of 'social cohesion' - do as they say, not as they do - The Shot Thereโ€™s an established principle in law: he who comes looking for equity must come with clean hands. The clean hands...

My latest article in The Shot

"The largest contributors to the breakdown of social cohesion in Australia are the governments of Australia, practising a privileged fuck-you version of democracy that makes its own rules & caters for those within the club"

Photo from a particularly lovely sunset down near the helicopter base in Kisarazu, Chiba, in 2022.

Fave spot of mine around Tokyo, for sunsets.

Power lines here are just such a wonderful part of the scene.

The piece about architect, Riccardo Tossani, is here in the new LUXE Magazine, which we recently launched. There's also a link at the foot of that page to an online, flippable version of the full mag.

Colour infrared photograph of a cyclist passing a treelined street in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, back in 2011. This false-colour infrared digital shot was made on a converted Nikon D300. The trees are all pink and the IR sensor has wonderful picked up the starburst of sun off of a motorcycle mirror nearby.

And what could be better for PinkMonday than this shot from 2010, of a lady cycling in Tokyo.

Made with an infrared converted Nikon D300.

Part of a pack of 4K wallpapers available at my downloads store.

Featuring a few items available in my print store this week.

There's been a fair bit going on during summer but, honestly, I could use a little boost financially right now. So, reposts of the print store posts are welcome. Many thanks.

The watermelons sell in high end stores for like $200 each.
Same with soft fruits like peaches that come individually wrapped in foam to stop them getting bruised. The seasonโ€™s first of fruits often sell for eye watering amounts.

I first came across white strawberries on my first trip to Japan 10 years ago. Could barely believe it. Then I discovered square watermelons ๐Ÿ˜‚.

This tonight on 4Corners is important viewing - it is my view that the Plymouth Brethren should be investigated for their oppressive practices to members and those who leave the church, and for whether itโ€™s appropriate they are tax exempt and have charity status

I cooked a lamb korma last night, very ๐Ÿ˜‹. Itโ€™s my cheat curry ๐Ÿ˜‚.
I use both Taylorโ€™s spice kit & Pataks simmer sauce + I add panch phoron spice mix & crushed ginger. Cook low & slow to make the lamb really tender.

Iโ€™m doing a warm chicken satay salad for dinner tonight.
I keep forgetting to take pictures of my food ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Iโ€™ll try to remember tonight.

Duck fat is fantastic with roast spuds as well. Iโ€™ve been using it for a few years now. My wife requests duck fat spuds when I do roast.
Rice bran oil is great for deep frying chips etc, as it has a high smoking point and is healthier than other vegetable oils.

Not only unbelievable but totally unacceptable. Hyundai should pull all its business out of the states.
The US is unraveling in real time.

Have booked our flights to Japan in November last week. We are flying JAL as weโ€™re over QANTAS.
Canโ€™t wait to experience what JAL had to offer.

Last nightโ€™s dinner. Home made bolognaise sauce topped with Parmesan on zucchini โ€œspaghettiโ€.
Iโ€™ve just been diagnosed with diabetes, so pasta, white rice & high carb bread not on the menu anymore.

Had a slice while still warm with the butter melting into it so ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿคค ๐Ÿ˜‹
