Happy Birthday to our namesake John Brown! On the 225th anniversary of his birth let us all reflect on his example of doing the right thing even if it's an unpopular or dangerous thing to do. His story is relevant at all times; not least of which now. His soul goes marching on.

Of course, for all his calls to action on Facebook, dude had no friends show up, which is tragic, because we really liked the people of New Milford.

We'd only heard about the anti-LGBTQ+ flyering of Deep River Public Library's speaking event featuring Jillian Celentano a couple hours beforehand, but we made it out nonetheless! As usual, the solidarity of the community was stronger than the fascists' hate. It was a joy to hang out with everyone.
