The original Lollapalooza stateside in 1991: Siouxsie, Jane’s Addiction, NIN, Living Colour. Lost my friends in the giant pit when the Henry Rollins Band started. Didn’t see them for hours.

Late to this GC . First outdoor show was Paul Weller at Crystal Palace in 1997. Supported by Skunk Anansie, Republica, Moorcheeba, Delta (who I still play so badly underrated), Travis who just started out, Beth Orton & The Real People.

First outdoor concert was at Clapham Common. 13 years old seeing Bowie among others

we were about 15, me & a mate took the train with our bikes up to cheadle to see motorhead at port vale footy ground, fab gig, stayed in a youth hostel & spent 5 days cycling back to chesham staying at youth hostels
we ran out of money on 5th day and had to kip in a field just past milton keynes ;)

First outside show was AC/DC at Monsters of Rock in Donnington. 16 year olds me and some pals with hardened rockers

Hey Gary. The first outside show I went to was Rock Against Racism gig in Brockwell Park. An awesome day where we felt our unity was actually making a difference. And, among others, Elvis Costello and Stiff Little Fingers. Superb.

I’ve got so many memories of him.
Exploring London with our gang, going to gigs & clubs are at the very top of the pile.
Taken far too soon but what an influence he left on so many of us.
Blessed to have called him a good pal.
