The average apartment (1 bdrm) is $2K per month. Twice what a person earning $22K per year earns. And they are expected to buy health insurance? They won't be eligible for MediCal either.

jobs and cannot afford insurance on their own. I looked, a single person can't earn more than $22K per year to be eligible. How are the to pay rent, utilities, buy food, etc. and buy insurance? And that is now, what happens if the subsidies go away?

That won't help the people who will lose subsidies if the GOP has its way. No help to pay for health insurance and so many will go without. Covered CA will boot many hard working people that have no insurance through...
