A Pixinsight student of mine had some remote data of the Bubble Nebula and Lobster Claw. It was fun to process such good data. Data acquired by Jon Pither of the UK. Processing by me in Pixinsight. Remote location, Star Front in Texas, USA.

For one-on-one Pixinsight lessons get in touch with me!

I am happy to have donated 1700 pairs of solar glasses to a school outreach in Latin America! The glasses will be distributed for free. Kids will be able to view the annular eclipse coming up there later this year. Visibledark.ca

Thought I'd take some old 2012 data and reprocess it for fun. Amazing result that 12 years of experience and new image processing tools can make. Taken with a CPC800 SCT and QHY8L (6mp OSC) camera at the time.

The Witch's Broom Nebula, part of the Veil Nebula, is a filamentary cloud of ionized gas in Cygnus, remnants of a supernova explosion. Its intricate, broom-like structures glow brightly in the vastness of space, showcasing the aftermath of stellar death.

The Horsehead Nebula is a dark cloud of dust and gas, located in Orion, forming a silhouette against the bright backdrop of the Flame Nebula, an emission nebula energized by the bright star Alnitak. Together, they create a stunning cosmic landscape.

The stars in the Pleiades cluster, M45, are moving through space. The unrelated dust cloud that the stars are currently passing through, reflects the blue light of the hot young stars, giving the nebula its characteristic blue glow. I took this image from my backyard using my telescope and camera.
