School librarian here. I see this so much and it’s very sad. Their kids are missing out on all the benefits of reading. The parents may not be good at reading themselves and feel self-conscious doing it. Maybe they just need to find different books if they’re bored.

As someone who mostly reads horror, I'll never understand the vitriol towards "cozy" books. People say they are escapist, unserious, allowing readers to avoid big issues. And I'm like, girl, WHEN did your dark romance book fix society? Did I BLINK and miss your detective thriller solving crime?

When you lie about your credentials, your drinking, and your leaking of classified war plans, why would anyone trust you about the air strikes?

Waiting for news outlets and reporters to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, reporting Trump's social media posts on foreign policy without confirmation is deeply irresponsible and an embarrassing failure of journalism.

I rarely post personal things. But I need to talk about my 4-year-old niece, Hope.

She has a rare disease. A drug called elamipretide has helped her survive.

But the FDA recently denied its approval.

Now, her health hangs in the balance.
