Timber, Saliba, Rice were outstanding tonight. Kiwior and Zinchenko deserve credit as well for stepping up and giving solid performances as well. First half we were just off it, the second half was much better. Kept the run going 💪 on to the next #COYG

Big Gabi and Calafiori being out is a bit of a blow but that's still a strong team imo. Kiwior is at least playing his preferred position and Zinchenko has been showing some good signs in his sub appearances lately. Maybe Rice drops a bit more often and Zinny pushes on more 🤔

The high press would be where he'd have to show his defensive intelligence, who to press, when to be aggressive, and shadow marking opponents, but he looks more than capable of doing it I believe.

imo I would much rather see him coming on for Saka when games are all but done compared to Sterling.

At RW he can also rotate to occupy the right half space which is where we see he takes most of his shots from so far this season and he has an eye for a goal from there. His defensive responsibilities will also be simplified compared to CM, tracking the LHS fullback/doubling up on the left winger.

Nwaneri has exceptional dribbling ability, good vision and passing range, is very mature for his age, great ball striking, protects the ball well, and has great composure. RW rotation for Saka would give him a great platform to develop and grow into this Arsenal team and get more valuable minutes.

Heard @clivepafc.bsky.social mention this on the @arseblog.com arsecast today but really feel like Nwaneri needs to be the Saka rotation option from now on. They will not play the RW roles the same, and that's fine, but what Nwaneri offers you is definitely better than the other options.
