Yeah I think we need 110 degrees for cycling motion. Gonna try and get on the indoor bike /turbo trainer tomorrow (didnโt try today after being stuck in Plymouth gridlock for hour and a half on only my second day back driving ๐ฌ.) half expecting to possibly only manage to turn it around 2 or 3 times.

Well crikey, out of private appt already. I could do the straight leg raise without issue and 90 degree knee bend. He said this is excellent progress, referred now to physio. Donโt have to go back. Allowed to go on bike indoors but just to turn pedals. Running realistic 6 months after op date!!

Oh thatโs annoying. Fortunately my surgeon left a fast schedule for getting me up on my feet (which one doctor frowned at and wouldnโt have implemented but had left by the time physio went for her advice and he decided just go with my surgeonโs schedule.) hopefully no reversing on that today!

Ouch thatโs a pain. Here. Sort of. NHS consultant said yes brace can start coming off but then when I said Iโm transitioning to private refused to say anything more as โorthopaedic surgeonsโ have similar but differing views on recovery programs and he didnโt want to contradict.

A tangled wood, the sun peeps through the crook of a branch warming the whole picture, moss festoons standing, falling and fallen trees. There are ferns growing on some of the trees, this is temperate Atlantic rainforest.
Looking through up to a bare leafless over story. Branches suggest grasping fingers reaching to the sky from sleeves of ivy and moss
Managed to make it up Largin hill fort, for the first time, difficult given current immobility, but worth it. 2 days left before the brace comes off. Incredible place will look to return in summer when more mobile #Cornwall #FoweyValley #Trees #Rainforest #Hiking

A small rectangular pit lined with slate slabs (modern) on two sides and exposed ancient stonework on two. At the base is a black and white (now black and green) set of tiles arranged in a pattern where there are three large black squares in a row broken up by white/green squares and around the middle on each corner of the square are four smaller black squares.
Four designs of monochromatic tiles are found from the region on an information board, the Pont croix, Finistere is a simple checker board pattern , another from Pont Croix is an octagon filled with a checker board pattern and in the centre another octagon with the sun inside. The third Le Gavre, Loire atlantique has a complex circular kaleidoscope like pattern and the fourth le Hogolo is as described in the previous photo.
Roman bathhouse tiles/paving from Le Hogolo Thermes at Plestin-les-Grรจves Love how each villa/baths has its own style. #TilesOnTuesday

A large stony mound which outcrops of grass, moss and thrift threaten to consume. At the base are two black portals and in between them a side that reads in French โ thank you for not climbing on the tumulus - protected siteโ
An inner chamber vault with exquisite stone work lit by a small doorway through which daylight floods. This was built in the Neolithic, if someone told you it was a medieval abbey crypt you probably wouldnโt argue.
The truly epic Ile Carn tumulus, one that can only be reached, on foot, at low tide. #TombTuesday #Brittany #Bretagne #Breizh

I'm a fan of Craven Faults, it's that kind of hypnotic ambient shapeshifting electronica like watching ripples on a river.

A lichen covered square slab of granite protrudes from broken branches as though itโs being released from the netherworld. Bramble and greenery half bury it and behind several trees provide it with shelter.
Sometimes the menhir dots on French maps turn out to be hard to find and very ruined. This, the Allรฉe couverte de Kerivalan near Gouarec in #Brittany #Bretagne #Breizh radiating a โdark woodlandโ energy (actually in brash by a ploughed field). But let that illusion be for #StandingStoneSunday

A Stinky Sticta (I think itโs a Sylvatica? ) I discovered while coppicing in October last year and it changed the whole plan as we had to start haloing around the willow with these specimens on. #FungiFriday #Moss #Lichen #Cornwall #GolithaFalls

Sounds good, going from locked to having movement made such a difference to me, my body had forgotten what to do, still occasionally forget to bend it! It definitely frees up the walking too. I find crutches the single thing most likely to trip me up. Have kicked them countless times by accident.

Ooo that has a more modern design than mine! Take it, it went well today? I was allowed/trusted to set mine to 90 yesterday on my own. Hopefully Iโm less than 2 weeks away from being allowed on a bike (albeit indoor), which you need 110 for. Wonโt be allowed gears , inclines, or pressure if soโฆ

Thatโs cool - do they play live much - and where?
I have 3 or 4 old synths and a bunch of pedals from my band days , now all the kids flying the nest I can tinker once again. (When theyโre around Iโm too self conscious)

Oh cool, that nice bit of jangle there too! I once did a comp of electronic stuff that Iโd play in the car with Squarepusher, Aphex, Boards of Canada, Daft Punk plus older stuff like Yellow Magic Orchestra. Youngest loves BoC from there, he makes some ambient sounds/music for the games he builds.

Yeah donโt think my oldest has been to any on his own. Also have twins. The younger twin though he comes along with me to electronic stuff (saw Jane Weaverโs offshoot Fenella, which he loved). Heโs definitely the biggest music fan, he loves any kind of retro electronic/computer games stuff.

Pile of 6 books - Flights - Olga Tokarczuk, Pan The Great Godโs return - Paul Robichaud, Kindred Neanderthal Life,Live, Death and Art - Rebecca Wragg-Sykes, The Western Rising of 1549 - Mark Stoyle, clothes, Music, Boys - Viv Albertine, Shouting Out Loud, Lives of the Raincoats, Aubrey Golden, Ninth Street Women Five painters and the movement that changed modern art - Mary Gabriel
While being mainly housebound while healing post -op, I have been making good inroads into my TBR pile (this is about a fifth of it!) Tokarczukโs, Flights is excellent but tough reading about a surgeon who dissects his own amputated leg, when my own leg still gets quite sore if I overdo it #BookSky

A tall slab of granite, dotted with lichens protrudes from a grassy and dried mud outcrop. Surrounded by deciduous trees you can see a fallen menhir on the right and stretching into the distance behind benches and either another fallen menhir or a glacial erratic.
One of the Geants de Kerzeho on the Erdeven megalithic trail, a six metre plus monster. #StandingStoneSunday
