This is one good reason why car makers' decision to ditch CarPlay and Android Auto is terrible for consumers, beyond privacy concerns. It relies on their continued maintenance of a given specific platform, which historically has not been a good bet gmauthority.com/blog/2025/11/...

Republican policies never ever ever benefit the consumer. Rather, it's whatever will squeeze the max amount of money out of them. Gotta keep those corporate donors satisfied!
30.10.2025 20:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0EMMA ROTH TWO HOURS AGO The FCC is going after broadband nutrition labels. The agency voted to adopt a notice of proposed rulemaking that could modify the broadband pricing breakdowns introduced last year, which Republican FCC commissioner Olivia Trusty said may be "overly burdensome" for service providers, as reported by LightReading. The FCC is looking to "streamline" rules surrounding the labels, a proposal that Democrat commissioner Anna Gomez called "one of the most anti-consumer items I have seen."
I'm so glad that someone is thinking of the poor service providers.
As a reminder, broadband providers have provided some of the most anti-consumer tactics in business, allowed in part by monopolistic tendencies and lack of competition and also in part by continuous Republican enabling.
TIME Texas Sues Tylenol Makers Over Claims of Links to Autism
"Suggestions that acetaminophen use in pregnancy causes autism are not only highly concerning to clinicians but also irresponsible when considering the harmful and confusing message they send to pregnant patients, including those who may need to rely on this beneficial medicine during pregnancy," Steven J. Fleischman, president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), said in September.
"In more than two decades of research on the use of acetaminophen in pregnancy, not a single reputable study has successfully concluded that the use of acetaminophen in any trimester of pregnancy causes neurodevelopmental disorders in children."

24.10.2025 11:33 β π 83 π 62 π¬ 0 π 1Sara Whitmer β’ β’ β’ 1h β’ 8 I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town. Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming. Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance. 75 12 comments
