So many great novels ruined forever because Shogakan is run by fuckwits who lack the baseline intelligence to qualify as human. Don't spend a fucking cent on this atrocity. Stifle it with indifference.

Publishers will cry boo-hoo about tight budgets from thin margins, which I don't dispute per se, but when you consider that manga used to pay $20+ per page to translate in the 90s when foreign industry revenue was tiny, forgive me if I wonder if it's more a question of priorities than lack of money.

Starting off the workday with a very clingy sidekick

There are a couple different parts to this. First, let's start with type design.
All-caps text has a higher visual density because all of the letters are the same height. The available whitespace of a given line of text is most highly filled in for all-caps text compared to mixed-case text.

...but the $6.99 plan still exists. You can switch back to it by attempting to cancel your plan in your profile. Seems kinda illegal to hide that and make us figure out by trial and error, but I thought I'd share what I discovered!

Also, please, please, please be kind to your local librarians who are running LGBTQ+ programs or are serving on book ban panels. I resigned a few years ago, but it had already become a pattern for the public to dox staff via FOIA requests and to show up both at their jobs and homes to harass them.

Ex-librarian here—I'd say encouraging your followers to put in requests for books with marginalized authors/MCs and check out those books both in person and online would be best. To get books and keep them on shelves in times of scrutiny like this, there has to be a quantifiable demand for them.
