Like any legitimate endeavor, the CFP Committee should meet at least one more time to assess and evaluate the pros and cons of their work. It seems obvious that the weighting of strength of schedule needs to be reevaluated. There are several 9-3 teams far better than IU and SMU in my opinion.

The first two games of the College Football Playoff have given us unwatchable football. The conversation about strength of schedule has been validated - it’s clear that Indiana and SMU were not deserving of playoff berths. What did the CFP Committee see that caused them to think they were worthy?

The CFP just proved itself to be an utter joke. All they proved is that it’s better to play the weakest schedule possible. Conference strength of schedule throughout the season looks to be irrelevant. Guaranteed byes for the Conference Champions is a flaw that kept out much more deserving teams.

Ole Miss should be in the playoff and Texas out. They whipped Georgia and Georgia beat Texas TWICE.
