US constitution

This is the US Constitution page @ the Library of Congress

Sections 9 and 10 have been removed

9 includes habeas corpus, the courts' review of unlawful detention & imprisonment

This gov't can't change the Constitution w/ sneaky editing, but it's a new low: constitution.congress.gov/constitution/

J Street head says he’s now convinced Israel committing genocide in Gaza Jeremy Ben-Ami explains he has been 'persuaded rationally' by legal and scholarly arguments, stresses that though he won't use term himself, he won't argue against it either

Big. Glad people are waking up and calling it what it is: Genocide.

On Tuesday morning, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced in an internal email that it would offer cash bonuses to agents for deporting people quickly, an incentive meant to motivate the staff to speed up President Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
Less than four hours later, the agency abruptly canceled what was supposed to be a 30-day pilot program.
β€œPLEASE DISREGARD,” Liana J. Castano, an official in ICE’s field operations division, said in a follow-up email to agency offices around the country.

🚨WHOA. According to @haleaziz.bsky.social, the Trump admin was actually going to implement the ICE "bounties" it has repeatedly said were false, offering $200 per arrest leading to a rapid deportation β€” and only walked the plan back after the New York Times got a copy of the memo.

2019 – 2024 – Repeated denials and discovery stonewalling
Through years of communications with the police, the plaintiffs and the court through the investigation and later the discovery process for the lawsuit, Tesla never mentioned that it had all the data that explained how Autopilot saw the crash, which everyone was seeking, sitting on its servers for years.

The facts are:

Tesla had the data on its servers within minutes of the crash
When the police sought the data, Tesla redirected them toward other data
When the police sought Tesla’s help in extracting it from the computer, Tesla falsely claimed it was β€œcorrupted”
Tesla invented an β€œauto-delete” feature that didn’t exist to try explain why it couldn’t originally find the data in the computer
When the plaintiffs asked for the data, Tesla said that it didn’t exist
Tesla only admitted to the existence of the data once presented with forensic evidence that it was created and transfered to its servers.

This whole story is insane. Tesla apparently did everything it could to avoid providing the data it had about its Autopilot crash. This is just a snippet and there's a lot more. electrek.co/2025/08/04/t...

WSJ OPINION
Ms. Clark faces a textbook hostile work environment, as the Supreme Court described in Harris v. Forklift Systems (1993), with severe or pervasive conduct altering her conditions.
Statistical disparities like those she faces often prompt federal probes and lawsuits. The precedent is clear: In Texas Dept. of Community Affairs v.
Burdine (1981), courts outlined disparate treatment under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, letting employees allege less favorable treatment than peers due to race-warranting investigation without direct animus. That shifts the burden to the employer to prove nondiscriminatory motive.
