Second beanie on the way, with a different self-patterning sock yarn this time. Some split opinions on the colourway—whether it looks more like Miffy the rabbit or Mondrian’s art 🎨 either way it’s super bright and cheery!

I learnt on a darning mushroom+Youtube and now have a darning loom. Weaving the threads back and forth feels quite therapeutic (even though I’ve yet to figure out how to neatly finish the mend 😅)

Beanie is done🐝 My first time working with self-patterning sock yarn went great, loving the pattern that’s come out. Will definitely use again. Recipient very pleased.

After the ribbing, the pattern called for k3 before tight bind off. I kept it at k2 before the ‘regular’ bind off. Up close it looks like it’s curling up slightly but from afar it’s created this clean line effect!

Definitely! It’s so bright and warm. Still have some balls leftover from this jumper, already debating what to make from it next!

The yarn emoji jumper is done 🧶 My first time working with 100% wool, I was amazed at the difference after wet blocking. Wore it out already, lovely weight and comfy oversize fit 🙂‍↕️

Mended a big hole courtesy of Dog, who briefly mistook these folded socks for a toy. 🧦 Darning is definitely something I want to practice more on. The knots left on the outside per sock owner’s request (but surely there’s a way to hide them better?!)

A hexagon cardigan made from scrap yarn. Tweed buttons from the Isle of Bute, where we went for a short getaway. I love the blue/brown colourway and still wear it often 🌊

To keep the tea hot, I made this tea cosy last night with 2 balls of white wool that was forgotten in my stash. Quick freehand project that’s already working wonders on this cold day 🥰
